Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has confirmed that all the pupils and teachers recently rescued from captivity are safe and will remain under medical observation for the next 48 hours to ensure their full recovery.
The governor disclosed that the victims are receiving comprehensive medical care and psychosocial support to assess their physical and emotional well-being following their ordeal.
Makinde expressed gratitude to the security agencies and everyone involved in the successful rescue operation, commending their professionalism and commitment in securing the safe release of the victims.
He assured residents that the state government remains committed to the safety of all citizens and will continue working with security agencies to strengthen measures against criminal activities across Oyo State.
The governor also appealed for continued prayers and support for the rescued pupils, teachers, and their families as they undergo treatment and begin the process of recovery.
