The leadership, candidates and stakeholders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Lagos State have reviewed the party’s level of preparedness ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, attended by the party’s Leader, Honourable Seriake Dickson, Presidential Candidate His Excellency Peter Obi, Lagos Gubernatorial Candidate Mr. Funso Doherty, Senatorial Candidate Honourable Moshood Salvador, the Lagos State Chairman and other senior party officials, focused on the state of the party, campaign preparations and strategies for the forthcoming elections.
Speaking after the meeting, NDC National Vice Chairman, South West, Honourable Adedayo Akin-Taylor Ekong, commended the unity, commitment and cooperation demonstrated by party candidates and stakeholders.
She called for sustained unity and collective support for all NDC candidates, stressing that the interests of the party and the Nigerian people must remain above individual interests.
Ekong also disclosed that the Lagos State team would continue consultations, reconciliation and engagement with stakeholders and interest groups to strengthen internal unity and ensure that the party enters the campaign season as a united and formidable team.
“Together, we move forward. Together, we will prevail,” she said.
